Choosing a Realtor is no easy task. You want someone who will work with you to help you reach your goals. You want a Realtor who will guide you through the buying or selling process step-by-step. That can be a tough goal to achieve, so we put together a list of qualities of a great Realtor to help make the process a little easier.
Honesty: Realtors should be truthful with their clients throughout the buying and selling process. A great Realtor will tell it like it is. They will let you know if your goals are realistic and attainable. They won’t tell you something just because they think it’s what you want to hear.
Knowledge of the Real Estate Market: A great Realtor is up-to-date on current market trends and will be able to explain them to you in a way that makes sense. They should also be knowledgeable of the areas where they list homes. They should know about communities, including local schools, businesses, entertainment and restaurants.
Great Listening Skills: Realtors should understand a clients’ goals, concerns, wants and needs. By listening, they can address any issues that arise throughout the buying and selling process, putting a client at ease.
Communication: Realtors should communicate with their clients often. A simple phone call or email goes a long way to ensure a positive relationship between a Realtor and their client.
Experience: Make sure your Realtor has plenty of experience! In all aspects of the transaction - legal and commercial. You are trusting them with the most important purchase or sale of your life, so make sure they are experienced.
Tech Savvy: Technology is now present in all aspects of our lives, so make sure your Realtor knows how to use it to give you the best experience possible. Realtors should be up-to-date with the latest technology.
