Like most people in Vancouver I like to think that my children will one day be able to buy a home in Vancouver (note I use the word 'home' rather than 'house')...which is code for being able to live near me as I get older. In a city that is 'burdened' with beauty and is 'bordered' by mountains, ocean and the 49th parallel, in addition to being cut up by expansive water courses and the Agricultural Land Reserve, I don't believe that the recent Provincial Govt's Foreign Ownership Tax will achieve the aim it has been suggested to have been implemented for...affordability.
